Mulching Machine PM-F 100
Implement for laying mulch sheets on the ground.
Mulching consists of covering the cultivated soil with a sheet.
The PM-F 100 fixed-chassis mulching machine places the mulching sheet on the ground and simultaneously buries its edges, on both sides, to keep it anchored to the ground.
The working width is adjustable according to the size of the reel used.
For best results, the soil must have been previously tilled and perfectly levelled.
The advantages of mulching
- Stops the growth of weeds in the garden
- It retains more moisture in the soil with the consequent advantage of limiting irrrigation
- It protects the soil during heavy rain, preventing it from compacting the soil and keeping it softer
- It has a temperature control function for the soil

Operation
As the mulching machine attached to the two-wheel tractor moves forward, the two front ploughshares open furrows in the soil, the small wheels press the ends of the sheet spread on the field into the furrows, and the two rear ploughshares recover the soil moved by the front ones, covering the two ends of the sheets.
Like any soil tilling implement, the PM-F 100 mulching machine works differently in different types of soil.
All components are easily adjustable for optimal implement deployment
Recommened Accessoires
- Wheel weights :
The weights, which are secured to the wheel hubs, are use to weigh down the two-wheel tractor and therefore provide greater traction
- Cage wheels :
The crosspieces, placed on the circumference of the metal wheels, penetrate into the soil making a good anchorage of the two-wheel tractor to the ground.
Compared to pneumatic wheels, cage wheels also compact the soil less as the two-wheel tractor passes over before spreading the sheet.
We recommend fitting cage wheels with a diameter from:
- 49 cm (for 738 - 740 - 770 HY - 780 HY)
- 58 cm (for 750)
